 My favorite class in this semester is “The literary of Americans”. I like the literary both of English and American. We can study about famous author, for example, Edgar Lan Poe, Herman Melvile and James Fenimore Cooper in this class. Also, we can study a form of American literary. The teacher is Ms. Mukai. I like her class. There is a little assignment in this class. Mainly, that is reports. The reports is to contain contents of the story which we watched in the week. I like to write this reports.

Mistakes

In the writing class, we checked each other's blogs. My blog was checked by Nana, so I will write about the mistakes. Especially, Nana checked my mistakes, for example, "Mr. Akiyama writes the explanations of songs more than 80." This mistake is "writes". The correct answer is "wrote", because this book was published about 20 years ago. Also, she found this mistake, about articles. I forgot "the" sometimes. I think this is caused by Japanese sentence. In Japanese sentence, the articles are not so important. We don't use "ある" and "その" so much, so Japanese student tend to forget to use articles. Also, I tend to use "in yesterday". This is not correct. This was checked by Mr. Richard on my blog, so I will take care of these mistakes, and I want to be able to write correct sentence in English.

Germany

   I studied German last year. I liked this language, and I want to study more. I don't know this country so much, but I want to study about this country this year, so I will write about German to study. 

   German's official name is Bundesrepublik Deutschland. The population is about 80,330,000. The official language is Deutsch. The president is Joachim Gauck, and the Prime Minister is Angela Dorotha Merkel. She is the first woman who is the Prime Minister in this country. In the North, there is Denmark, and there are Rzeczpospolita Polska and Czech Republic in east. In the south, there are Austria and Schweizerische, and there are France, Luxembourg, Kingdom of Belgium and Netherlands in the west. There are 16 states. I know only 4 states. In the 16 states, there are 5 states which have the meaning of 'free' in their name. The capital city is Berlin. Berlin has 3,431,675 people. The next capital city is Hamburg. When I see this letter, I thought this is ハンバーグ in Japanese. This is joke. Hamburg is the name of a place in German. Hamburg has 1,772,100 people. The connection to Japan started about 16 centuries. The relation is so important now. Especially, in the case of classical music has relation to Japan. In Japan, the Germany musician is known well. Especially,Bach, Mozart and Beethoven is most famous. However, my favorite composer is Brahms and Schumann. My favorite Brahms's works is symphony no.1, and my favorite Schumann's works is symphony no.4. My orchestra held concert last year, and then we did this symphony no.4. This was so cool, and I liked this song. If you had never listened this song, please listen to this one time!! Also, in the case of food, Germany beer is known very much in Japan. I am 19 yet, so I can't drink beers. I want to drink beers, when I will be 20. My sister likes the Germany beer, so I think the Germany beer is loved by the Japanese. Also, Vienna sausage is known very much too. As a result, Japan and German has relations in several points. I want to study about German more harder.

             My name is Ayumi Murata. I’m playing the violin. I can’t play the violin well now, but I’ll be good at playing the violin. My hobby is to listen to music and read books. My favorite kinds of music are classics and K-POP. Especially I like Tchaikovsky and Girls’ generation. My favorite author is Jane Austen. I like ‘Pride and Prejudice’.  I wanted to study about her in England, but my home had a serious problem. It’s “money”, so I decided to study harder in Japan. Also, I like English fashion. I wanted to study about fashion in England too. I like English fashion, and I respect them, so my dream is to work for fashion industry in England.

Why did you apply for our studying abroad program?

              (suppose…) I applied this program, because I thought I should understand the world. Although I had never been to abroad, I have been studying English for 9 years, and I have been thinking that I want to travel abroad in the future, so I should I understand this world is good and bad. I think we shouldn’t see strengths. However I know only strengths, so I want to study abroad and understand this world.
